Purpose and scope
Fights Now is a combat-sports information service. It organizes schedules, matchups, rankings and reported outcomes and may publish original explanations or analysis based on that material. It is not a promotion, athletic commission, sanctioning body, sportsbook, medical service or official record keeper for an organization shown on the site.
Database pages and editorial articles serve different purposes. A database page should make the underlying status and source visible. An article should add useful context, comparison or analysis rather than merely restating a source announcement.
Authorship and accountability
“Fights Now editorial desk” is a functional team label. It identifies responsibility for site-wide editorial review and corrections; it is not the name of an individual, a personal biography or a claim of professional accreditation.
The public site does not currently provide biographies for individual contributors. Readers should not infer an unnamed person's identity, credentials, employer or affiliation from the team label. When a named contributor and relevant biography are available, they should appear with that contributor's work.
Our publication standards
- Attribute material facts. Link directly to the promotion, commission, sanctioning body or publication that supports a schedule, ranking or outcome when that link can be provided.
- Prefer primary evidence. Official commission results and promotion announcements take priority in the circumstances described in the methodology.
- Distinguish reporting from analysis. A prediction, interpretation or calculated sporting-importance signal must not be presented as an official fact.
- Show uncertainty. “Reported,” “pending,” “observed” and “verified” carry different meanings. Missing or disputed details remain qualified instead of being rounded into certainty.
- Avoid manufactured duplication. A changed card or developing matchup should normally update the most useful existing page unless a genuinely distinct article adds new reporting or analysis.
- Do not fabricate detail. TBA opponents, local times without a reliable timezone, title stakes and result fields are not inferred from likely context.
Previews, predictions and rankings
Previews may describe styles, recent form, ranking position and competitive stakes. Predictions are editorial judgments, not guarantees and not betting advice. A ranking belongs to its publisher; Fights Now must name that publisher and must not turn a media list or card roster into an official promotion ranking.
Fights Now's sporting-importance score is an internal explanatory model for competitive significance. It does not predict the winner, audience or entertainment value. Its inputs and limits are published in the methodology.
Commercial relationships and independence
A source link does not imply that the source sponsors, endorses or is affiliated with Fights Now. Any sponsorship, affiliate relationship, supplied access or other material interest relevant to a specific article should be disclosed clearly on that page. Paid placement must be identifiable as advertising and must not determine a reported result, ranking or verification label.
This policy does not claim that every external publisher grants Fights Now special access. The source registry explains whether collection uses an official page, public endpoint or secondary publication and records material access limitations.
Images, quotations and external material
Images should be used only with a documented basis and the available creator, source and licence information should be published on the image credits page. External article text, photographs and video are not part of the normalized fight-data collection. Quotations should be limited, attributed and used to support original reporting or analysis.
Updates and corrections
A schedule update is not automatically an error: promotions regularly reorder or remove bouts. Source-driven database changes retain provenance and may mark an earlier unresolved pairing as superseded. A factual mistake introduced by Fights Now is a correction and follows the public corrections process.
Material editorial corrections should be disclosed on the affected article. Minor spelling, grammar or formatting fixes that do not change meaning may be made without a correction note.
